Blankets of Healing

I give to you this blanket

It is a special kind
It is brought to you

With love and prayer
Stitched with you in mind

With each stitch of thread
I thought of you in bed
So I made for you this blanket
With the pillowslip for your head

I prayed that God would cover you
And that you would feel His love
As Angels watch over you
From Heaven up above

I pray that God’s love
Would cover you
And bring with it His healing
I felt so much love for you I could not shake this feeling

Knowing this little blanket
Would bring you so much joy
Whether a little girl or a boy

I thought this special blanket
Would be better than a toy

It holds within its threads
Prayers and blessing
For your bed

Note: Written for Gwen Johnson .. and her sisters who stitched blankets for children in the hospital.. I wrote these words .. to accompany these special blanket blessings.. We printed them on brite smiley face paper and rolled and tied then with britely colored ribbon .. for their delivery ..We pray that they meet the face of smiling children ..and bless the hearts of their parents and caregivers.

Your Little Ones

Love those little freckles..

And the sparkles in his eyes

He is speaking in truths

And not telling any lies

Thinking deep within

About the trouble he gets in

Wondering how it finds him(lol)

Wish I new this little one..

Called Braden .. who is your son

Oh what fun!
