Saying Good-Bye to 2008

The time has come to walk through the gate

Saying Good-bye to 2008

As I reach back to close it behind

I take a moment to rehash in my mind

All of the things both good and bad

Lots of memories happy and sad

For only a moment the time stands still

As I think of my life wanting only God's will

Another year passes me by

Lord I am getting older I cry
He tells me yes, daughter you are

Older, yet wiser

You have traveled so far

It is true Lord I have looked back

Over my life this year

Feeling with more certainty

My ministry more clear

And now as I close the gate

No longer looking back at 2008

I look forward to All that will be defined

In this new year of 2009

Note: I am looking forward to the New Year expecting God's will to manifest in my life ..
